Orthopaedic Surgeon – Dr Pitchford

An orthopaedic doctor is a surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of bone and skeleton-related problems.

This could be anything from a broken finger to a hip replacement, repairing damaged tendons or delicate spinal surgery. Orthopaedic treatments are becoming more varied every year and there are now specialists within this speciality.

This means your GP could refer you to a “hand” specialist or a “hip” specialist for example.
